Try switching the input from vga to dvi through the monitors setting, via the monitors menu buttons.
My new PC came with a vga cable even though this is obsolete, even the back of my processes doesn't have a correctly fitting outlet for it, but my new Asus monitor keeps saying it needs a vga connected even though has a DVI cable connected help?
