They sure are ! It's because there are so many different ones out there for almost anything. Can't remember the last time I saw a High School kid without earbuds on or looking at a phone. The rest are home playing the multitude of video games available. I'm glad my kids grew up before the electronic age really got going! So, the answer is a firm YES !

Yes they really are! Me being not an adult, I can say yes I really like good phones! I really do! But today children are being lead somewhere else! They instead of exploring their talents are exploring the new apps! Those people who invent apps and stuff don't think what or how would it affect children, but I can't blame them... parents have to be blamed. They should set up time for their children! These gadgets and stuff were clearly not made for children but to entertain adults! Now children know more than adults about them!

So I'd just say children should explore their talent rather than exploring the 'gadget's' talent!

Yes, I think kids these days are very much into their "gadgets". My 3 year-old daughter frequently uses an Android tablet, an iPhone and an Xbox to watch movies, YouTube videos, and to play games.

I've been so surprised by her ability to navigate programs on different devices, and she's even started getting the hang of using an Xbox controller to play games on her own!

Having said all that, I wonder how much the "gadgets" that kids play with today are simply modern day equivalents of tasks and activities they would have performed in the past.

Kids (and humans in general) seem to adapt and learn whatever tools and technology is put before them, so who's to say kids throughout history haven't always been obsessed with the "gadgets" of the time?
