Although there are websites out there that claim to teach you how to view a private Facebook profile, there isn't really a safe or legal way to do it.

Facebook is one of the biggest websites in the world, and they take a lot of time to protect their user's from people who want to view their private information.

As mentioned in an earlier response, the only true way to view someone's private Facebook profile is to get them to accept your friend request.  Having said that, once someone has accepted your friend request, their profile is no longer private, and therefore all you've really done is stick to the rules and add someone...

The importance of privacy

Most people set their Facebook profile's to private so strangers can't snoop around their images and statuses.  There is obvious logic in this approach, and therefore it's pretty immoral to try to view this information against someone's will.

I'd advise that you simply send the private account a friend request and see whether they actually want to engage with you.  If not, no big deal, but don't bother trying to hack into it.  You'll likely fail.  Even if you succeed, you'll likely find yourself in some trouble.

Viewing private Facebook users is pretty simple. You don't really need a complicated hack, to fill out thousands of surveys, or to download a paid-for app.

Instead, all you need is knowledge about the profile you're trying to see, and a bit of spare time...

Viewing private Facebook profiles

The best way to view a private Facebook user is to encourage them to accept your friend request. This is the only genuine and legal way to gain access to someone's private Facebook information.

However, users who value their privacy don't allow just approve anyone's friend request - you have to earn it.

You can do this in five simple steps

Viewing a private Facebook user in five simple steps

  1. Create a new account. Don't use your name, but make sure to use a name that is believable (otherwise Facebook will recognize it as a fake).
  2. When filling out your profile, select your profile picture and other images very carefully. Obviously they will have to be of the same person, there need to be enough of them to make the account look genuine, and you need to display a quality or interest in those pictures that makes the user interested in learning more about you.

One really good method is to find out if the user likes a particular celebrity, and then find a fan picture alongside that celebrity.

For example, if the user you're interested in likes Lady Gaga, this would be a great profile picture:

  3. Don't go for the kill right away. Build up activity on your timeline by making friends with other people, liking and commenting on their stiff in the hope that they will do the same on your timeline.
The more activity you can get on your page, the more appealing your profile will look when you send that friend request.
