There are a few reasons why Snapchat live video may not be working for you, mostly it's due to problems with software or with your device.
I'll go through the most common issues with Snapchat Live Video in more detail individually below.
Not all devices have the ability to use Snapchat's live video feature. If your device isn't listed below, it may be the case that you're unable to use live video:
- Devices using iOS 6 and above.
- iPhone 4S/5/5C/5S.
- iPad 2.
- iPod Touch (5th generation)
- Android 4.0/4.1
Connection issues
Many Snapchat issues concern connection problems. If your internet connection fails, or if it's not strong enough, you will be unable to use live video features.
Make sure you're connected to the internet by trying different apps and features to rule out this issue.
App issues
In my experience, if connected issues aren't the problem, it's likely to be a problem with the app itself. To see if this is the case you should delete the Snapchat app and then reinstall it. Sometimes this sorts out any issue that was stopping you from accessing a certain feature.
If this doesn't work, I would advise that you perform a hard reset on your device. Please remember that you need to backup any important files as a hard reset will delete everything on the device.
