The only messaging apps I use are kik and the Messaging app that comes with the Apple products. I like Apple's better, because I know more people who have it. However, if there is a person who doesn't have an Apple product and can get kik, it's an easier way to talk to them.
And if Instagram counts, I have that too. I used to have Snapchat, but I didn't know many people who had that. People think Snapchat is good, because they think their picture dissapears forever. There are so many ways to leak a picture. Just think of that the next time you sext, kids. ;)
