You don't have a routing number.  Your bank does.  If someone wants to know your routing number, you are normally filling out a document that authorizes someone to access a bank account you own, to make deposits and/or withdrawals.

If you have a check or deposit slip, it is the 9-digit code that begins the strip of numbers on the bottom:
