Are you for or against "foodie pics" on sites like Instagram? Is it all artistic fun, or has the situation got out of hand now?

Due to my social media activity, I've learned that there are two kinds of pictures that friends seem to disapprove of: Pictures of food and pictures of your kids (pictures of other people's kids are even more frowned upon).

And honestly, I can kind of see why: It's the classic social media clash. You post pictures and status updates of things you're enjoying or happy about because it makes you feel good.

But people that follow you and read your posts don't always share your interests, and almost certainly don't follow you to keep up with your food diary.

The way I see it though, posting "foodie" pics is such an Instagram cliche that I don't think anyone can complain anymore. The war has been lost. If it really bothers you that much, maybe you should unfriend them.

I know we're straying off Instagram here, but one of my friends recently posted a Vine of a meal, and I thought it looked pretty darn tasty!

I posted one the other day! But just one... I agree that it can be annoying when every other day you're posting pictures of your food because its like I really couldn't care less!

One or two is fine when its something special, like some food you never ate before, mine was on this indian dish a rare one so I thought I'd share it!

But also it's people's own instagram, if you don't like what you see you just unfollow. Simple really.
