Invented in the year 1998, Google was not a small or an unnoticed site as it had indexed web pages that were in a number that was as huge as 25 million.
8 billion pages was the number reached by this ever growing site by the year 2005.The other big numbers that included as a part of this are 4,500 new sources that were introduced, 17 million uploading of various images, Usenet messages, set to an amazing number of 1 billion and the number of catalogs introduced were as many as 6,600.
The ever increasing number of web pages led to controversies that were being difficult to be solved, thus the site had to pull down a number of pages that were indexed, and this deduction was done from the Google home page.
As a company Google started to work on its launch and expansion in late 1990s. But it was only in February 2003 when it saw a break through. Google acquired Blogger. Blogger is a website which pioneers weblogs hosting. Google reached its peak in the 2004. By 2004, Google handles almost 87.4 percent of all search topics requests from the whole world. It has a partnership with other internet clients like AOL.com, CNN.com and Yahoo.com. Now, in February 2004, Yahoo broke its partnership with Google and formed an independent search engine. This did cause Google a share of the market but also helped Google highlight its distinctiveness. Now, Google is the biggest company not only in its kind but overall worldwide.
