When unlocking an Acer touchpad, try pressing the key to the left of the on/off button, the key has a picture of a finger pressing the touchpad. For some reason Acer don't seem to mention this and it is often overlooked.
Other things to try if that doesn't work:
- Press and hold "Fn" button and press "F7" once while you are holding the "Fn" button in.
- Look in control panel for pointer settings and check that nothing has been accidentally changed.
- Reinstall the touchpad by clicking on start, all programs, acer, acer recovery management, restore, reinstall drivers and applications, contents and look for touchpad driver.
Reinstall by clicking on the green arrow on the right hand side. If that doesn't work, download and install the latest touchpad driver from here
