There are many different reasons why we need to study the computer, and the main and most important one is to ensure that we are going to be computer literate when we are applying for jobs. There are only a few jobs out there that don't require use to use a computer, however, if you want to have a good job and work within a top business, you are going to have to ensure that you have studied in computers and can work them wither on a basic standard or complex standard. It is something that looks good on your CV and is going to help you in your career.

· Jobs

As mentioned, we study computers to ensure that we can secure a job.

· School

There is no school in a developed country that does not have a computer. We need to know how to use them to ensure that we are going to be able to get the grades that we need in school. This can be as simple as word processing our work to ensure that it is as neat as possible and that we are not going to have any problems.

· Data

There are many different ways in which data can be stored on a computer, and we need to study them to ensure that we are going to understand these so we can take the knowledge with us when we finish school.

· To keep up with technology

The aim in all countries is to ensure that the school children can keep with technology which is going to develop in the future so we are not going to be driven out of our jobs by someone younger.

There are simply too many different reasons as to why we need to study the computer; you are not going to get as far within your career if you do not continue with the study.

It is the world largest gateway of knowledge. You can pretty much find anything you are looking for on the computer. I use to say I didn't need a typing course, now that I'm a graphic designer of a newspaper, I am so glad that I can type close to 60 words per minute. What are you studying? That would give a better clue as to why you would need it.

If we know the computer organization in a better way, we can design the program to the best performance.  Take one example if you know the house very well, you will find things easily, I you don't(may  be knew to house)  you may get the things , but it will take time. Similarly, to achieve the best outcome in programming one has to know the CO in better way.

The problem with saying that the computer is the largest gateway of information, is that fact that it is also the least organized. As far as information goes, you can find most things in a recent set of encyclopedias. Thanks to both tactile feedback and our sense of smell, finding what you need in a book might actually stick with you better.
If you aspire to be a scientist, then using the older methods for calculations will actually give you skills many others are lacking. Having more complete knowledge is better than using the computer as a crutch.
Even without the computers, we still have it much easier than those that came before us. Einstein did not use a computer, Franklin had a quill and paper. H.G. Wells probably spent a lot of time in Libraries when compiling his History of the World. Information is taken for granted. When it has been wrestled out of hours of work, it becomes a reward to your patience, and is much harder to forget.
