"There are a number of virtual worlds online that do not charge a fee to use. In recent years, social media, in particular Facebook, have opened up hundreds, if not thousands, of virtual world games that do not charge a fee for basic play, but do allow the purchase of customisable options.

A simple Google search for ‘virtual world free’ also turned up the likes of www.smallworlds.com and the ever-popular Second Life. Neither of these requires payment for at least basic play either.

Membership is a rather more difficult requirement to get around, because normally membership is not related to a fee, but to the identity of your character, and the progress you have made in the games. Without some way of identifying yourself as a particular player, you would presumably have to start from scratch each time you played, which although technically possible by setting up dummy emails and entering random ‘membership’ data, would not lead to satisfying game play over time, as you would be continually playing the early levels of whichever virtual world you entered. So while free virtual world game play is easy to achieve by doing a simple Google search, free virtual world game play with no membership is possible but, ultimately, pointless.

YOU guys do know a lot of those sites have memberships.
Well, for I'd say you should try out Minyanland!
It is a SAFE website where you can learn about banking. You think it's boring? You create a critter and run around playing games, opening a bank and lots more. You can dress your critter up, and buy new houses and furniture. Try to become rich as fast as you can. It's a fun virtual world for any kid! It's not a board game (online) it's a VIRTUAL WORLD where you can even meet friends and challenge them to duos in games!!! Pretty neat. Check it out at www.Minyanland.com
Very nice site
