I have the same question! Neither Home Depot nor my local hardware store had the designated replacement light (10W, 120V "appliance" bulb), but both said a night light would serve just as well. To order the replacement bulb through Sears is $6.99 PLUS $6.99 shipping PLUS tax. A night light bulb costs $.49!!!!!
You can but it will be a lot more dim. Also you will save money in the long run using an appliance bulb. My original appliance bulb lasted 12 years! It was an 130v bulb which will last much longer then any 120v bulb. It is also tougher to handle the heat of the dryer. You can try a local appliance parts shop. A local one to me has everything you need and prices better then if you order from Sears. I just put a night light bulb in mine until I get around to pick up the part. It works but is very dim and only temporary fix.
No you can’t!
I think yes! If your Kenmore drier already has a Bulb, it can and should be changed as needed. I also have a Kenmore drier, and if there are any problems in its work - I'm just looking for info on the Internet about Kenmore dryer troubleshooting and try to solve all the problems myself.
