There could be a number of reasons for this. As I am sure you are aware, blue's are more expensive than normal colours so I advise you get a refund for part of the origional cost. I feel this because it is not a TRUE blue

Hey there. Put some sand paper in the cage for them to walk over, this will help long term. But if they are tame enough cute them with nail scissors and then use a human nail file to round off the edges
