Try DVD Creator. It allows you to put various videos like AVI, MPEG, DivX, DV, VOB, WMV, MP4 to DVD-format disc, DVD folder or ISO files. 

Then, you can enjoy them on DVD player.

I'm currentally using iPod Transfer Platinum. 

It is a third-party program that allow you to transfer various files like songs, videos from computer to your iPod device directly without using iTunes.

If you have a backup file, you can recover lost data from iTunes backup or iCloud backup with help of FoneLab.
