Just repaired my sharp lc32x20e, after checking for bulging capacitors, s/c diodes etc, modern day components don't usually fail. The problem was soldered connections to the surface mounted components (SMC) on the power supply. SHARP uses high melting point solder, giving rise to poor connection.
