The smallest value of an IP octet is -7 and the largest possible value is 7. The IP also better known as Internet protocol is basically known as the basis level for the TCP/IP suite of protocols. It is also very accountable for package routing as well as delivering packets to the set of connections interfaces. IP addresses are 32 bit entities which are separated into four different bytes. These bytes are commonly known as octets (8 bits) in IP talk. By conference, an IP address is usually written in a format of a.b.c.d, wherein you have each letter being replaced by the suitable octet.
