A couple of online gaming sites that were OK but my first real serious account was with Amazon. Still use it all the time. Joined a website in the late 90's called " Living Dizzy". It was a forum for people with Meniere's disease to discuss all the problems and to try and help each other. I can't remember some of them but those come right to mind.

TPG (my ISP) for emails. I don't think Google offered a log-in in those days and YouTube hadn't been around all that long.

Apart from those, my first site of choice was the Kasparov Chess Club which went down the gurgler a couple of years later.

Actually the site was taken over by a larger group and the original members were lost among all the new ones. So all the friendships we had made there evaporated. It was very much like what happened on Ask except that Ask's suicide was voluntary.

AOL back when it was pretty much the only choice.

Ask.com....one of the best decisions I ever made.....not because of the site itself, but all the wonderful people that I have met because of that site.

Well, it's true! With everything that was happening in my life at the time, the people of that site unbeknownst to them (you) had a hand in changing the way that I viewed what was going on in my life at that time....which in turn, helped me to find me again...so you thanks goes to you!

They held a mirror up to me more than once too, Angela. It forced me to think more clearly about the things I thought I already knew.

Holy garbage, I was over thinking this Q. I was reading what is the first website account that you created (as in created the webpage). Ok, well that over, I can't remember, that was back in the early 90's. The only one I can think of and I know it's not the first, was my email account on a mail server that got bought out by MSN.

I started on a multi-line bulletin board, and then it gained access to the internet, after being part of a couple of other webs prior to that. Way back in the olden days. (AOL was not available here, unless I called long distance to Great Falls in the USA.)

Hah I remember Newgrounds! Haven't been on there for ages, but I used to love playing their Flash games (especially at school).

I'm not too sure what the first account I ever created was. Probably Hotmail/MSN I reckon.
