Over 100
celebrities were hit by the iCloud leaks and the photo’s have been spread over the internet, with sites like reddit, imgr and initially 4chan becoming places where anonymous users were leaking these celebrity pictures to the world.
It is my understanding that content moderators have
blocked a lot of the leaked content on these networks though, and I'm hoping other sites have taken action to remove any photos of this nature too.
The fallout of the celebrity photo leak of 2014
Lots of
people are now worried about their own photos being leaked now that hackers have
gained so much access and so it’s a good move to look at how you can protect
yourself if it ever happens to you:
http://www.undox.me/ - shows how to remove pictures, which may have
been shared against your will.
http://www.businessinsider.com/how-to-delete-photos-from-icloud-2014-9 - This article
specifically targets iCloud and how you can remove your pictures from it.
Another
article also emerged which has claimed that anyone viewing the leaked pictures
becomes an ‘abuser’ of the celebrities privacy and it’s an interesting article
to read before you go searching elsewhere, because it might help you decide
whether you really want to see something which cannot be unseen, in light of
how comfortable you’d feel if the world leaked your own private pictures:
