There are a couple of ways to get rid of spam quickly in your Gmail inbox, and I'll go through them in greater detail below.
Spam in your Gmail inboxIt can be really irritating to find your inbox full of spam emails, but it's something that most - if not all - of us have gone through at some point. Gmail has a really simple way of moving this useless correspondence to the spam section, however, and here's how you do it:
- If you look directly to the left of your Gmail emails, you'll notice that they all have a little square box next to them. The first thing you need to do is click the square boxes of all the spam emails.
- On the top navigation bar, you'll now see a set of different buttons. You need to click on the one that looks like a folder. If you hover over them all, it's the one that says "Move To".
- Now navigate down the list until you find "Spam" and click on it.
- The selected emails have now been moved to the spam folder, and Gmail will remember the email address of the sender, and direct their emails to the spam folder automatically.
Spam in the spam folder
Once you've moved any junk emails to the spam folder, you can conveniently delete them all permanently. To do this, follow these steps:
- Once again you need to click the square boxes next to the spam emails.
- Once you've done this, you can now click on the "Delete Forever" tab on the top navigation bar.
- Congratulations, you're now free from spam!
