I have read that you can run your cable like this:
WALL-TO VCR-TO CABLE BOX-TO TELEVISION
it will block the billing of pay-per-view/adult/movie channels. I haven't tested it, but from what I read after 10 purchases it will block communication with your cable company and they will most likely call or show up and ask why your box is offline and in some cases you will be billed for the purchases.
