Why Are People So Obsessed With Facebook?
Statiscaly speaking, youths from 13-25 are those most 'obsessed' with facebook. The stronger obsession being those aged in the middle. This strongly reflects the ABSOLUTE UNDENIABLE FIXATION on celebrity/status/image that is now the norm for young kids today. (Myself being a keen reader of heat magazine), basically, for many youths, it is a way we have taken this whole 'cult of celebrity' and related it more directly into our own lifes, as I'm sure we all commonly see those kids with 1000, even 2000+ friends who do think that some sort of achievement, but at the end of that day WHY DO WE CARE??. Facebook is here for some time, however, I hope that soon it wares off, as for me I can't help but think its a waste of our time. I shall just highly congratulate Mark zukerberg, who's brainchild facebook, on last count, was estimated at around 15 billion!!! Haha, while we all mind numbingly sit there, looking round profiles, finding ourselfs looking at the photo albums of people we barely are friends with, I'm sure hes very happy on is yacht, soaking up the sun, drinking champagne somewhere loool!!
Because Facebook makes it so easy to learn what's going on in your friends' lives. People aren't really obsessed with Facebook, they're obsessed with the people they're watching on Facebook. You can view everything Someone has ever said or done on Facebook and they'll have no idea that you're seeing all of it. It's genius.
Cause people like to talk !
