How To Light Pilot Light In Maytag Gas Oven?

I just put in a new water heater, my question is, on my gas maytag oven, after you take the broiler drawer out, there is a regulator that has what looks like a pressure valve on it. Do I need to reset it the other way to let gas through to light the oven? I'm not getting gas to the oven.  Paul

There is a good chance that it has an ignitor built right in, and doesn't have a standing pilot light.  You can also get a manual for your gas oven at
