How To Get Shiny Pokemon Without Action Replay?

You just use the poke radar and wait for a sparkle in the grass. Dawn/Lucas will tell you this if you have beat the game. She/he will ask you about the poke radar and if you keep talking to her/him she/he will say that if you use the poke radar if the grass sparkles there might be a shiny pokemon there.

You don't need to get a chain of 40 or more. I found a snover and roselia in like the 4th chain you just have to pay close attention to the grass that moves. There will be a sparkle in one. Go to that one

Lots of misinformation here.

The chance of finding a shiny is normally 1 in 8192. Chaining increases the chance of catching a shiny.
40 is the "sweet spot" for upping your chance. At 40 pokemon in a row your chance of finding a shiny is about 1 in 200.
Chaining 40 in a row does NOT guarantee a shiny.
The pokeradar allows you to chain 40 in a row, if you are patient and careful.

Go to Fuego Iron =works and keep using poke'rader. Keep killing the same pokemon in th flashing grass about 40 times and on the 41st, there might be a shiny pokemon. You need a lot of repels, about 30 super repels and yeh. Good luck. Icaught 2 shiny arons. Patience is the virtue. :)

You can I captured 1 before.

I heard that if you put a sinnoh pokemon and a national pokemon in the pokemon day care center in solaceon town, your chances of finding a shiny pokemon increase to 1/2000. I haven't tried it yet, though, so I'm not sure if it works. Happy hunting! ^_^

Well I have soul silver I found a shiny DITTO!! My tip is to look in a spot ware you find one type of pokemon.

This worked for me recently on Pokemon Platinum on level 18. I found a shiny Machop near the bike road located between Eterna and Oreburgh City. It was in the fourth patch of grass left of the bike road just outside of Oreburgh City. I used an ultra ball to catch it. Good luck!

The only way I got a shiny raichu is that I did the event for the shiny pichu leveled it up with rare candies until it evoled into a shiny pickachu then I gave it a thunderstone and bingo it was a shiny raichu!
