To enable java script, which is sometimes called as JScript, follow the given instructions. Note that Java script and java are two completely different things, so ensure that you are looking for the right language.

In the Internet Explorer 3.X version, go to options in the View menu, and then click on the Security option. Tick the box next to Enable Java Programs, and then click on OK and then Reload.

If you Explorer is of the 4.X version, then go to Internet Options in the View menu. Click on the Security Tab, then Custom, and Settings. Scroll down to find the Scripting option. Click the box next to Enable Active Scripting, and then click on Ok and Reload.

For the Internet Explorer version 5.X, follow the same procedure as given for version 4.X.
