Ruby:
First beat the Elliot 4 and go to one island, then go up to mt. Ember and when you reach the guy that asks if you want to teach one of your pokemon explosion go right and you should see two rockets near a hole in the wall, when you approach them you will hear them say one password to get into the rocket ware house later. After that they will notice you and you have to Battle them both, then go into the cave and wonder around, it only has one direction until near the end and the road will go in two directions, one path in front of you and one road below you, take the road below and you will find the ruby. Now go back and take the right path from earlier for getting out faster and talk with celio, he will then give you the rainbow pass allowing you passage to islands 4 - 7.
Sapphire: (NOTE: You must have gotten the ruby in order to get the sapphire)
now that you have the rainbow pass go to 4 island and you will run into your rival who talks to you and leaves (no battle) then go as far right as you can and surf up to ice-fall cave, just wonder around until you find lorelie arguing with three rockets, you will then help fight the rockets and leave the cave (to get to the rockets you must first find hm08 waterfall in the ice-fall cave) after go to 6 island and go as far south as you can by using the water path to the right of the pokemon center go down and find the dotted hole, if you examine the door it has dots that is some weird language means cut, go to your pokemon and have one use cut to break the door down then enter the ruins and go into the hole in front of you, from there go to the hole below you, then the next hole to your right, then to your left, then above you, you will find the sapphire, but a scientist will steal it and give you the second password to the rocket hideout, now go back to 5 island and to down to the rocket hideout, click on the door and the passwords will be entered allowing you to enter the warehouse, good luck finding your way around the place, but after you do you will face a rocket who will then let you pass and switch a control so you can leave and come back without going through the maze again. Now go up and fight the second rocket who once you bet all the rockets will leave and you can go up and fight the scientist who took the sapphire, once you beat him he will give you the sapphire back. Go back to celio and give him the sapphire, you will have helped make a connection between the kanto and houen regions, witch is important because it means you can finally enter cerulean cave where mewtwo is found, hopefully you kept you masterball through everything you have done or it will be extremely difficult catching it.
