You can change a tape which is in the video cassette recorder (which is abbreviated as VCR) format into a digital video disc (which is abbreviated as DVD) format using a digital converter. A digital converter is basically a combination of hardware and software. It includes a USB 2.0 audio/video digital converter and an application which enable the users to convert a tape which is in the video cassette recorder (which is abbreviated as VCR) format into a digital video disc (which is abbreviated as DVD) format easily.

Using a digital converter is the easiest way to convert your home videos to the DVD format and preserve your memorable moments for posterity. It also ensures a better quality in the DVD format. There are two modes in the digital converter. These are the convert mode and the record mode. Choosing one of the two modes helps you to transform either the entire videotape or multiple segments thereof into the DVD format.

Just to be pedantic, and for anyone new to Dvds, DVD actually stands for Digital Versatile Disc. Not hard to verify before posting the article.
