Why Does My Ipod Touch Screen Is Frozen?

The same thing happened to me, and what I did was I held down the home button and the power on/off button until the apple icon shown. But before the icon will show you may see a red slider bar. Do not let go of the 2 buttons until apple shows after. That will hopefully reset your frozen ipod touch. Another thing to do is to hold down the home button and the on/off button until apple icon shows then let go of the on/off button and hold on to the home for an extra 20 sec. I hope this helps!!

Mine freezes everytime I turn it on. I can't turn it off unless I press the restart button.

Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the apple logo comes on. My ipod touch froze once and I freaked out!!!!!! My ipod touch works now because I held the sleep/wake button :)

What people are saying for the retards who keep saying hold the 2 buttons down is, the screen is frozen, it says ipod disabled, the 2 buttons will not turn it off, and when hooked up to the computer it says enter passcode on ipod, but you can't because the screen is frozen.

OK I'm freaking out, as of an hour ago my iPod touch screen has been randomly going in and out, right now I plugged it in with USB and I here the ding but the screen wont light up. I do have insurance but am hoping this problem can be solved with out dealing with the insurance. I got it before the school year ended last year if that helps at all. So it is somewhat old.

What if when I was about to download songs..it said it needs to restore then it froze like that and it wont turn off nothing and its been like this for like 4 hrs now..do I just let it die or what??

Hold the circular select button at the bottom of your iPod touch and the lock button for 10 seconds at least, if that doesn't work. Good luck ! Cause I recently have this problem, and mine is frozen but holding the lock and select button for 10 seconds isn't working, so I'm look for other solutions. But holding the lock and select button for 10 seconds does actually work, I know this from experience when my iPod touch froze the first time.

Ok my prob is its stuck on lock but on the screen it has a u.s.b cord on the bottom of it in the middle of it has an arrow pointing to the itunes logo and no I have no insurance help fast please I'm in school and don't have much time left in class 11 45 am   call me  RYRY

My ipod has been doing this a couple of times. All of a sudden or once I take it off its charger the touch screen wont work! The home button works but I just can't touch anything on the screen! I don't know what to do!

Ok bud, if your screen is frozen, and you have insurance, just call apple. And then they will send you a box, when you get the box put your ipod in the box. Then you call fedex and they come and pick it up. It will take about a week and apple will ship a brand new ipod back to you via fedex. Or if you don't want to do that the thing I do when mine freezes is hold down the home button and the button on top for 10 sec. And it will reset

You just charge it but if it is wet and you turned it on,,, you messed it up and chances of recovery is very low. I come from experience Lol. When you have a electronic item and it gets wet, let it dry for a month or so... Not lying here.

I just held down the top button because my screen was black but since I held it down monkey ball came back up and that was my original problem ( I entered monkey ball and exited twice) well I don't know if it works yet s...sorry

Ughh this is annoying it wont work seriously if I want to fix this I got to go to the apple store!!! >:(
