I did like some things about it...I had an account for about five years.
Ultimately, there were too many hacks and things seemed kinda scrambled, so it just really got too cumbersome to maintain... Maybe two years ago I deleted my account and have never looked back.
I like meeting new people as you do on well-moderated websites such as this one and Ask.com.

It has its good points and its bad points . I like that I can keep up with friends and family, no matter where in the world they are.
I had an account for a while but it drove me nuts. I know it's very useful in many ways but it's not my thing.

No, I've never had an account. I hear too many arguments going on regarding Facebook. I do not want photographs of my family and I belonging to the company and used in the public domain. I like to maintain a certain level of privacy in a world where you can have your identity stolen, where CCTV and face recognition is ever on the increase.
I enjoy it because it's an easy way to stay in touch with my schoolmates who now live all over the country (class of 1965). I love seeing their photos and knowing how they're doing.

Of course, I like facebook, as I have a big family, and we live separably, some are in foreign countries, but we can often chat there, and watch the photos when we held a party or marriage etc.
