Why is Yahoo making such a fuss about this security breach now when it actually happened in 2014?

I'm not sure. I've know alot of people who are freaking out about it. It didn't bother me. I just changed my password when I found out and went on living.

i didn't even bother changing my password. There is nothing important about my yahoo account. I just use to for Yahoo Answers only. i knew about the breach when it happened.

You should change your password anyhow. Good to that at least every six months

if there was a breach with my main email provider. than yeah, i would change my password but not for this.. its too unimportant.

They are making a big deal now because someone is only now trying to sell the information, and they are in the middle of selling its core internet business to Verizon.
