I type with both hands, rather than hunt and peck.

I can sort of touch type (as in I can type without looking at the keyboard, only glancing down occasionally, but I don't use the proper touch typing method). I typed all my A Level exams, and I've developed a method of typing quickly which works for me :)

I learned to touch type almost 60 years ago on a large, manual typewriter. [Touch typing (also called touch type or touch keyboarding) is typing without using the sense of sight to find the keys. Specifically, a touch typist will know their location on the keyboard through muscle memory.] I used the manual typewriter all through high school and beyond until the 80's..

When the computer keyboard came along, I didn't have much occasion to type anymore, so I never reprogrammed myself for the "Enter" key.

Fortunately, with word wrap ubiquitous pretty much from the beginning, I am not noticeably impaired in my speed.
