I delete a thread when I'm finished with the conversation, unless there is something I need to remember. I like a clean message inbox at all times!

I clean mine often. I've listed myself as a contact and often set a scheduled text to arrive to myself using it as a reminder.

Not too often, look at the clutter xp I have all the messages from these people, that's months worth for some.
