My son wants a tablet for his birthday - not an iPad. Any hints for someone that knows nothing about this?

Here's a list of the top ten and another list from CNET. Personally, I like ASUS but there is info and prices on these two sites.I know people that love the Kindle Fire also.

My main "problem" with it is the screen size. When I'm on the internet or doing homework - I want a "full size" screen (at least 12").

So if you're used to smartphones - I can see it would be okay.

Same with me ! Some people love em but I like PC screens. I have one that's 25" ad one that's 32". More my style.

I have to recommend the Kindle Fire, very easy to use, I do everything on it and love it for ease of use.

Try a Samsung Galaxy Tab. Great picture quality and  very easy to use as well. Plus it's good for drawing lol

Get him a keyboard with it so it simulates a laptop. Typing on a touch screen is awful.
