Do you miss the privacy you had prior to cell-phones, GPS systems, camcorders and computers? (I guess this question is aimed only at the older people)

Nah. Mostly we get to choose what information we make available electronically. There's nothing in my life you couldn't publish on the front page of a newspaper. Well, except for the time that Mrs... But we'd better not go there.

Yes, I'm aware that governments have access to all manner of data about us but I don't leave the house without wearing my tin hat. Problem solved.

Google and their ilk are very naughty trying to manipulate us with targeted advertising but that's no problem. I use Adblock Plus and never see their promotions. (Adblock is my computer's tin hat.)

Then, of course, there are the benefits. Instant transfer of medical information is a wonderful bonus. Likewise money transfers, information, communication. Speaking as a bona fide geezer, I couldn't be happier with the system.

Nope....cos truth be told, we've always been monitored in one form or another.....if it wasn't the government, then it the nosy neighbors wondering what you're bringing in from the store!

I had a neighbour like that for almost 30 years. Eventually he retired and moved interstate. *Ahhhh...*

I am kind of born in between the non-cell-phone era and current state of things. Older people say it eased some things, but when compared to the lack of privacy, it is not worth it.
