The trick is simply to make a note of the person's age and location. Then create a fake account using a photo of someone you think he or she is very likely to match with.
Then, from the search settings, limit your search to people of the same age as the person you want to check, and the distance they were located from you.
This will minimize the amount of people you have to swipe through.
Swipe for a little bit, and within a few minutes you should find them. Match with them, wait for them to match with you and you'll be able to chat etc...
