Nobody is keeping you here! And nobody is forcing you to ask and answer questions which you have been doing.....this site is fun and relaxing for some. People "grasp" the concept of Google, however, some like to get information that Google does not provide, like life experience.

Google is OK for information as needed, but here you can get actual knowledge from real people. There are a few sites out there and I have been on most of them, but Blurtit is the best one. Google is just information, not knowledge and opinions from people. Blurtit will do just fine because you're interacting with real people, not just some information that may or may not be really true. A good writer once said : The Internet is just information, not knowledge.

Interesting. One of the things that set this site aside from mere "Googling" was that there was "value added". As well as answers, you got opinions, controversy, interaction and humour. Nowadays, answers that are not completely "straight" are removed. It's very dull, very sad, and as you observe, the website is probably doomed.

Maybe you should take a look at Ask.com or Quora.com. You may enjoy them .

That is to miss the point. I am a member of Quora and it is very dry, not at all as fun as Blurtit used to be. The reason that Blurtit grew so quickly was because of the interaction. It was a strange combination of social media and Q&A website, and it worked! Now, it is much more "correct" rather like Quora, just not so good, nor so usefully peer-reviewed. A pity.

Yes, Quora is very dry as you say. I see a lot more stuff here than on some other sites. That's for sure. It seems that almost all of the sites I have belonged to have strayed from having any fun. A pity and a shame. I like to have fun on them, but fun answers always seem to get deleted on them. Not so much on this site though.
