To type captions on Snapchat, you simply need to click the 'pencil icon' on the top right of the screen (when it is grey, not color).
How to get captions to work on Snapchat
If your captions still aren't working, here's 3 things you should do (in this order):
- Close the app, and relaunch it. If you're on iPhone, you do this by double clicking the home button, and swiping the Snapchat window upwards to close it. Reopen it from the icon as usual.
- Try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it (or updating if there's an update waiting). It's always a pain in the butt to have to reinstall apps, but sometimes it's the only solution.
- Still not working? Snapchat have a support page with a specific section dedicated to reporting bugs with the caption system.
