Obviously not according to all comparison studies done of late.

In all the important areas, science, math and reading young Americans do even worse than older Americans against the usual roster of developed countries.

Perhaps it is making European and Asian young people smarter!

For this I would say I definite no , although social media maybe to share things with other people like tumbler or twitter , or Facebook to interact and talk to friends family and others, there is a lot of bullying behind social media ,lots of teens are also texting in more slang instead of people in the twentieth century , as I have experienced I have realised I use a lot of short terms now and that isn't good .
