Glossy printer paper uses less ink than plain printer paper. This is because glossy paper does not absorb the ink into its fibers, yet plain paper does.

Glossy Paper are
utilized for ultra smooth and sharp appearance, on the other hand Matte
paper are less lively and don't have astounding look.

Talking about  which paper utilizes less ink than i would say Glossy Paper since Matte papers have pours and the ink get retain in these
pours as Glossy paper is smooth so it doesn't absorb ink.
