This soccer computer game has many different features, and if you're a new player then one of the first things you will want to do is set-up your own player display name. You'll be able to use your name under the cursor of the players you are controlling.
The first thing you need to do is select a type of match that you want to play. Keep in mind that, it can be any match that you choose, because the type of game is not relevant at this stage. You should be able to start the game with your team, however, to ensure your display name is shown, you will have to pause the game.
Once you've hit pause, the 'pause menu' should appear. You will then have the option to choose 'select sides'. After you have clicked on the option, you will then notice a number of pictures of the controllers that are using along with what team they are controlling, which should be depicted as either the home or away side.
