There is usually a way for laptop users to take the safe mode off their laptop, but it will probably require some kind of administrative access. If you are not the administrator then you will probably not be able to remove the safe mode unless you ask the administrator to do so for you.

Try this method to see if it helps you remove the safe mode.

When you first turn on your laptop there will usually be a way for you access the administrator settings, although the precise method of this may depend on the type of laptop that you have.

When it first boots up, try pressing the F2 button which should open up the operating system. You will not have long to press the F2 button because the only time that it will open up the operating system is when there is a momentarily black screen before your computer is opened. In this section you should be able to locate information on safe mode and how to turn it off from here. If you are not sure where to go from here then it might be best to find someone who is good with computers to guide you through this process. Once you have done all this you will just need to shut down your computer and then start it up again and it should be running perfectly fine.

If this method doesn't work then you could always try looking through the handbook that came with your laptop which should give information on safe mode, what it does for your computer and how you can get out of it.

If this doesn't help then you can always take your laptop to your local hardware store and explain what has happened. The people here will probably be able to take you through it or do it for you then and there.

You need to go to system restore to get out of the problem you are in. Go to the start button then to programs then to accessories then to system tools to system restore and you will then choose a date when the computer was not on safe mode and then you will be good to go.

Windows operating system running in safe mode is an option of the operating system not the laptop. If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, keep the keyboard key F5 pressed while the system starts and then select the option of start windows in normal mode or with the last best known configuration. If you are using Windows98 press "ctrl" key instead of "F5" and rest of the procedure goes as such.

When the system would boot, press F8 key and you will see a window which will ask you to boot your computer in the following ways:

Safe Mode
Safe Mode using DOS
Normal Mode
Last Known Good Configuration that worked

You can either select normal mode or Last known good configuration that worked to boot your computer normally.

When you boot up, there is usually a way for you to enter through administrative access.  For mine, I boot up and as soon as it begins, I hit the enter and F2 key which opens the operating system and you'll see the Safe Mode and where to and how to take it off that setting if you choose.  If you have never done this, it's pretty basic but would be a good idea to have help.  I would think someone you know can help with this.  You have to shut it down and reboot, and you only have a a second to see this black screen before it opens your computer.  Still think you should ask someone to help you though.
