A template is a pre-set design in Word, Publisher, etc; you just open it and *ding* there it is on the screen. You can customize it and/or make your own.

A wizard is a step-by-step guide that walks you through a procedure, such as installing a program or setting up a document, usually via a question and answer procedure. It usually goes through at least 3 steps (similar to pop-up windows) before it gets you to the point where you are viewing the document or program.
